The Sumter County School District is proud to support our local community by offering access to school facilities for educational, civic, cultural, and recreational events. We believe our schools should be hubs of community activity, provided that such use does not interfere with the district’s primary mission of educating students.
Our Facilities and Maintenance Department works diligently to ensure that all district buildings and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming. This team ensures our facilities operate at the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and functionality to support student learning and community engagement.
Organizations wishing to use a school facility must complete the official Facility Use Request Form and receive prior approval. Requests are reviewed for scheduling availability, compliance with board policy, and required custodial or maintenance services. Rental fees may apply depending on the nature of the event, duration, and level of facility support required.
How to Request a Facility
To request the use of a Sumter County Schools facility, please follow the steps below:
- Download and complete the Facility Use Request Form (PDF) – or pick up a printed copy from the main office at any Sumter County school.
- Submit the completed form to the school.
- Await confirmation of approval before proceeding with event plans.
